Urban Gamez

Urban Gamez has been a free to attend sport event on the Grahame Park Estate since 2010.

The event aims to promote awareness and access to local sport activities, and encourage children, young people and families to become more actively involved. Although the event is organised by The Barnet Group it would not survive or exist without the ongoing support and involvement of so many partners and stakeholders.

We would like to thank you in advance for taking part and joining us in celebrating its 10th Anniversary on Heybourne Park

Covid/Health & Safety

• A full risk assessment for the event has been carried out, however it remains the responsibility of each organisation to undertake one for their own staff/volunteers or activities on site
• A first aider from First Aider Cover will be on site throughout the day
• Although social distancing measures are no longer in place, if you are conscious about the number of people around you, we encourage you to wear a face covering/ mask
• Not compulsory, although for the safety of others, we encourage you to take a Lateral Flow Test before attending
• If you are experiencing any covid symptoms, and feel it best not to attend, please notify Tim Blanc on 07595 530517
• Hand sanitisers will be on site

Partners main point of contact between 9am-12pm is Deborah Beckford

➢ The main event – Starts at 12pm and aims to finish at 5pm
➢ Directions – Location to the Heybourne Park
➢ Parking – There is no direct access for vehicles onto the park, except for approved suppliers setting up on the day. Pay and display parking is available in Quakers Course
➢ Set up – We would like all partners to be set up and ready by 11.45am
➢ Tables and chairs – Will be allocated on arrival to those that have requested. We have a limited number of tables and may need to ‘double up’ however if you have your own fold up table/chairs please do bring them along
➢ Gazebos – We are unable to provide gazebos. If you have one bring it along. Please note the area is part concrete/part grass
➢ Toilets – Male and Female portaloos will be in close vicinity (location tbc)
➢ Refreshments – Light refreshments will be provided to all partners
➢ The Mayor – Cllr Alison Moore will be attending the event to meet partners and present medals to the race winners

Itinerary

1) 9am – 11.45am suppliers and partner stalls on site for set up
2) 11:45am – Music from DJ & MC Academy with Nutmeg Community
3) 12pm – Nutmeg Community open event. Stalls and activities are open
4) 12pm-1:45pm – Children & young people registration for races
5) 1:45pm – Registration closes
6) 2pm – Pause on some activities
7) 2pm – 3.30pm races commence
8) 3.30pm – 4.30pm Medals award
9) 4.30pm – closing down
10) 5pm – Event closes

On the day; It would be helpful to provide a very short paragraph of your services. This will be promoted on the day and provided to the Mayor of Barnet. A member of the Urban Gamez Team will be around to collect this from you, please do not send in advance

Photos and filming – We are duty bound to adhere to our Privacy Policy , in doing so we are required to seek consent from parents/carers of all children and young people taking part in the event by completing a model release form. If you intend to take photos for your organisation, we strongly recommend you seek permission and refrain from using your own personal mobile device or uploading images onto social media or any of your own publications without consent. Photo privacy notices on site do not extend to partners.

The weather –We cannot guarantee the weather, although we are optimistic the sun will shine for Urban Gamez as it always has in the past, but please consider worst case scenario in your planning and attendance
